Eat balanced diet during Ramadhan, Muslims urged

Nutritionists have urged Muslims to eat a balanced diet during the month of Ramadhan.

"After Ramadhan is over, you find many people have gained weight. We are not telling people not to eat these sugary and high-fat foods, we are telling them to observe the diet," Mombasa county nutritionist officer Esha Bakari said on Tuesday.

She spoke to journalists at the county health department offices in Mwembe Tayari.

Bakari said Muslims should ensure they eat vegetables, fruits and drink a lot of water.
